Our client in Bristol is looking for a Commercial & Operations Manager. You will be reporting to the commercial Manager and supported by Site Services General Manager.

The Bristol Commercial & Operations (C&O) Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all operations and maintaining Group assets and infrastructure. The role is fundamental to the overall financial success of the business, ensuring that budgets are prepared and adhered to, turnover is achieved, and revenue is brought into the company as soon as practicable.

The C&O Manager is the face of the Company in terms of meeting clients to discuss business, generate new business, deal with customer issues, and oversee and ensure the efficient delivery of all works within the SW region.

The C&O Manager may be required to act as Duty Co-ordinator, being the first point of contact for the client during incidents, working with the Site Service, Response Teams, and the Hazmat and CBRN Director as required.

Must have previous experience working in a management role within the Industrial Services Sector.

• Excellent communication skills.
• A background in the industrial sector, with a great understanding of the type of vehicle we are utilising for our industrial division.
• An understanding of compliance within the transport industry.
• Ability to build positive working relations with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Must be IT literate (Including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel).
• The ability to work under pressure within a busy transport office.
• Experience in an operational role in a logistics or haulage business.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Competent decision making
• Good geographical knowledge of the Northwest and UK
