Our client is looking for someone to join their geotechnical team of eight enthusiastic, multi-national engineers who are involved in prestigious projects and highly technical and rewarding geotechnical design.

Job role includes:
• Preparation and reviewing of reports including desk studies and site investigation specifications.
• Interpretation of the site investigations and production of ground investigation reports (GIR).
• Design of foundations (pad, raft, piled raft, piles).
• Detailed design of basements.
• Ground Movement Assessments to determine the impact of construction works on tunnels (BT, LUL, RMG), masonry tunnels (NR, City of London), masonry viaducts (NR) etc. Plaxis 2D and 3D is used for these analysis models.
• Building damage assessments on third party structures.
• Production of Interpretive Monitoring Reports.

Our client is looking for a candidate who has a strong interest in all aspects of geotechnics.

They are also looking for the following;
• Degree and/or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Numerical analysis experience.
• A strong knowledge of theoretical soil mechanics.
• Knowledge of numerical analysis software packages.
