Fielders is recruiting for a Senior Geotechnical engineer for a marine offshore opportunity for an innovative, solution-driven, totally independent consultancy.
The company was founded in 2016, but drawing on over three decades in the offshore industry, they bring together a group of highly experienced, motivated and like-minded marine geoscience professionals.

Senior Geotech Engineer – Marine/Offshore
• Based Aberdeen / Scottish Borders / Chichester (dependent on experience and role) – Blended office/home
• Manage Projects (incl. Budgets, Resources, Client Liaison, Scope Delivery, QA)
• Author Technical Documentation (such as DTS, geotechnical calculations, leg penetrations, PSI, foundation design etc.).
• Author Operational Documentation (Risk Assessments and Method statements).
• Support Business Development through Tender Preparation and Client Meetings.
• Work with Senior Managers in support of geotechnical related content and to champion geotechnical capability within the Company.
• Proactively contribute to the technical development of the Group.
• Mentor, coach and support the development of junior staff

Ideal qualifications
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geology. (Preferable MSc or PhD)
• Proven experience and strong track record in the above
• Interested in going offshore as a Client Representative (one for discussion on a case by case basis)
• Experience of foundation design software such as PLAXIS, GRLWEAP, OPile, LPile etc.
• Practical experience of coding for geotechnical and engineering tasks
• Knowledge and practical experience of GIS systems and a desire to work with these.
• Knowledge of geophysical surveys and interpretation.
• Ability to speak a second language.
